Discover- The Essential of Color and Additive Technologies for Thermoplastics

A two-day program providing a broad overview of Color and Additives used in Thermoplastics processes such as Injection Molding, Extrusion and Blow Molding with an emphasis on improving the Quality, Cost and Performance of Color and Additives. Topics to be covered will include an understanding of color theory and science, principle areas of coloring thermoplastics, reducing the costs associated with color and additives, the effects of color and additives on the polymer, improving the efficiencies and performances; and troubleshooting issues in the process.

   Thermoplastics Colorants: 
              Pigments, Dyes and Special Effects; Colorant Forms; Polymers Compatibilities; Delivery Systems; Color Influences on Processing
 
   Controlling the Quality of Color:
                   The Color Match; Qualifying Color; Preventing Color Deviation; Reducing Color Cost; Troubleshooting Color Issues

   Thermoplastic Additives:
              Classification of Additives and Uses; Improving Performance and Processing; Performance to Cost Ratios; New Additive Technologies

   This program is indented for any employee, students or executives that are involved in plastics processing. This includes operators, set-up technicians, process engineers, quality control personnel, plant managers, executive managers and sales professionals desiring to advance their knowledge, increase effectiveness and become a greater asset to themselves and employers.

   Brian K. Cochran is President of Britec Training Solutions, with over 30 years of experience in the Plastics Industry as an Entrepreneur, Consultant, Sales Executive, Founder and Business Owner. Brian is a Plastics Engineer as well as a Technical Designer/Developer specializing in Colorants and Additives, Polymer Science, Compounding and Plastics Processing. Prior to Britec Solutions Inc. Brian was founder and President of Polytech Color and Compounding, a manufacturer of Color Concentrates, Liquid Color and Specialty Compounds in Ontario, California. 



Registration Fee: $495.00

Registration fee includes all documents and handouts, lunch and refreshments during training hours. Discounts for Groups of 3 or more from the same company are 10% of the total registration fee. Hotel room discounts are available on a limited bases.
